About
Who We Are
After professionally counseling for over two decades and seeing the severe disconnect between therapy and medical services in his clients, Aaron knew that there had to be a way to bridge the gap and help more people.
In 2020, Aaron and Heather began dreaming up the possibility of serving the Memphis, Tennessee community with more than just counseling, but a full, holistic health journey. “Whole” to them means truly focusing on an individual’s physical health, mental health, relationships, and spiritual growth. It’s not only important for them to identify the problems, but to help understand where the problems came from and how they can help guide you through the journey of solving them. They knew that a place like this didn’t exist in Memphis…so they decided to create it.
Life Wellness Clinic was birthed from this idea of providing both counseling and medical services to clients where the therapist and the nurse practitioner talk to one another to create a wholistic plan to come closer to a healthier lifestyle.
Aaron and Heather would love to meet you and help you begin your wellness journey today.

Our Founders

Aaron Delay, LPC-MHSP
With over 8 years of experience with adolescents and adults, as well as 6 years of counseling couples for marriage and pre-marriage counseling, Aaron found passion in helping people through various stages of life. He believes in an empathetic approach, and works with his clients collaboratively to overcome obstacles that they may face.
Aaron specializes in adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and behavioral concerns, as well as couples who need marriage counseling, pre-marriage counseling, and help with family or relational issues. With each client’s individual needs in mind, he utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and Motivational Interviewing. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in life coaching, as well as a master’s degree in professional counseling, both from Liberty University.
He is married with 2 children and is a devout Christian. He enjoys playing golf, basketball, and going to the movies. Though he is not a native, he loves the city of Memphis- the food, the culture, and is a huge Grizzlies fan.

Heather Delay, FNP-C
Heather is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over 12 years in the healthcare field and experience in a variety of settings, including both pediatrics and adults. She graduated with her bachelor’s of science in nursing (BSN) from the University of Memphis in 2011, and graduated with her master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from the University of Memphis in 2020, earning her family nurse practitioner certification. This is what she has to say about her role at Life Wellness Clinic.
“For many years, it has been a dream of Aaron and I to open our own holistic clinic together. While in private practice, Aaron has seen many clients in therapy who could benefit from medication in addition to psychotherapy, but because there was no provider in the practice, he would have to send those clients back to their primary care provider to get assessed for medication. I’m a family nurse practitioner, and coming from the primary care side, I see how busy PCPs are. While juggling multiple chronic health problems like diabetes, heart failure, high blood pressure, on top of acute problems such as pain or a sinus infection, mental health often inadvertently gets pushed to the back burner. This is detrimental to the client because mental health can greatly affect physical health, and vice versa. Both mental and physical health are equally important and play vital roles in our overall well-being. I wanted to evaluate and manage mental health disorders that you would typically bring to your primary care provider, but with more time to do so thoroughly. This spurred the thought that we could integrate our services together, providing holistic, collaborative mental health services under one roof, hence the birth of Life Wellness Clinic.”
